Primarily role has been as a front end developer, including graphic design and project management, as part of web design teams and as an independent web developer.

Maker Media Inc. (fmr. O'Reilly Media) (2012 – Current)

Web Producer – Part Time employee providing ongoing web development and content updates.

Skills: Wordpress, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, SublimeText, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS 3, LESS.

Description: Maker Media spun off of O'Reilly Media in January 2013. Duties include Building and maintaining functionality of ecommerce and content website templates, programs, and databases on tight deadlines with fluctuating priorities within a collaborative team environment. Development on several sites including: Make magazine, Craft Magazine as well as Wordpress site setup and updating of Maker Faires around the world. Knowledge of template and UI development in web-based systems and client-server environments.

Digital Ocean (2012)

Front End Developer – Providing initial design, development, consultation, and content updates.

Skills: Wordpress, Drupal, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, XHTML, CSS 2.1, and jQuery.

Description: Crowd funding and video sharing project related to promotion and understanding of sustainable ocean issues. Contributions Includes graphic design, set up of mobile app using Google Currents, as well as facebook and youtube pages. Independent work and as part of team with Outhink Media.

Planeteria (2010 – 2012)

Front End Developer – Web design and content updates as part of their web development team.

Description: Experience providing range of services on a diverse range of clients, including: Pacific Market, Mendocino Redwood Company, Bank of Napa, La Tortilla Factory, City of Sonoma, Garret Ace Hardware, Adobe Lumber, Hannah Boys Center, Gourmet Natto, Guerra Meats, JMA, Mary Courville Designs, and many more.

Webvanta (2009 – 2010)

Front End Developer – A a paid intern, I provided assistance and customer support, building sites using the Webvanta CMS. Also worked on new support site.

Skills: Handcoding HTML & CSS, as well as use of Javascript, and jQuery. Graphic design with Photoshop. Assisted in testing and troubleshooting of earlier versions of their Content Management System.

Contributions on several sites include: The Webvanta Support Site, Choir Gear, Simply Slater, Compliance Helper, Building Web Apps, Tahoe Boating, and Tim Donnelley.

Sacramento Dent Works

Independent Project included entire site planning, design and maintenance for this small business.

Skills & Services: SEO, Google Analytics, Google Maps, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Social Networking with a new facebook page. This site also includes a custom form with image uploads, as well as a photo gallery using javascript and jQuery.

This site is an example of my more recent work, completed entirely by myself, and was built in 2011.


This is a project for Richard Charter of the Oceans Foundation.

This is a one page site set up to inform the public of meetings related to oil drilling by the Department of the Interior.

The layout was done in a conscientious way with the web user experience in mind. Content is easy to read and laid out in a way that is easy to follow.


This is a personal project for my family, who've been regular 49ers season ticket holders since the 1950's.

We have six seats, of which we're not always able to use ourselves, so I created this site to help sell those extra seats. Use of javascript and a custom form used.

The 2011 season proved to be most memorable and the 2012 season is expected to be just as exciting. Please contact me here if your interested in any or our seats for 2012.

Layla Musselwhite

Independent project in which I designed, built and still manage this web site for this talented bay area musician.

This site work included graphic design, custom form, music downloads, picture gallery, as well as audio and video clips.

I've also provided other graphic design services which include: logo design, business cards, a CD cover, flyer's, as well as other technical services and support.

California Faculty Association

Independent project was a complete redesign from the original site for the SF State Chapter of the CFA.

Skills and Services: Graphic Design, Hand Coding HTML & CSS, Content Updates, Photo Gallery, and Social Networking with a Facebook page.

This site has since been rolled into the CFA California Chapter, so the previous domain and the majority of my work is no longer available to view but can be provided upon request.

Sonoma County Fish & Wildlife Commission

.Content Developer and Graphic Design. This web site was developed as part of a student team at Santa Rosa Junior College.

Skills and Services: My primary role was as a content developer, which included graphic design, technical briefs, site maps, mock-ups, client relations, testing, & troubleshooting, and more.

This web site was built to strict design and accessibility standards overseen by the County of Sonoma.

Golden West Glass Company

This was the first web site which was built by myself from start to finish and which I still currently manage.

Responsibilities included all aspects involved in creating and maintaining their site including: Graphic Design, Video Editing, SEO as well as Domain Acquisition and management and all other aspects.

This web site was built several years ago and is in the process of receiving a dynamic makeover in 2012.

Marin Humane Society

Licensing Program Coordinator - When the MHS public relations department needed help on their web site, I volunteered. Which then turned into a paid position providing content updates to multiple departments. This work is what got me interested in web design and was the catalyst for my education.

Skills and Services: Updated adoption animal profiles, inventory management for their pet store using Miva Merchant. Also provided updates for their online class schedule for the Behavior and Training department. I created several online forms, as well as an inter-department intranet for the front office. This site has since been re-designed.
